The Dart Mountain Cheese Company is located in the scenic Sperrin Mountains near to the village of Park in County Derry-Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It was established in 2010 by Kevin and Julie Hickey who are passionate about producing award-winning handcrafted cheeses and chutneys. 

The Cheese Range:

Banagher Bold

A 'local ale' washed cheese aged for 3 months minimum. Lovely and creamy with a hint of ale flavour. Winner of Gold at World Cheese Awards 2015

Dart Mountain Dusk

Ash coated semi hard pasteurised cows milk cheese aged for at least  4 months. Winner of Bronze at World Cheese Awards 2014

Kilcreen

Alpine style pasteurised cows milk cheese aged for a minimum of 3 months. Great Taste Gold Winner 2015

Tirkeeran

Long aged pasteurised cows milk cheese, extra hard. A fantastic and unique cheese. Use as an alternative to Parmesan. Perfect for grating over pastas and risotto.
Won Bronze at the UK & Irish Artisan cheese Awards 2018.

Sperrin Blue

A rich creamy pasteurised cows milk cheese with blue veining. Suitable for Vegetarians.
Winner GOLD Irish Food Awards 2015. Won Silver at the UK & Irish Artisan Cheese Awards 2018.

Carraig Ban Goat's Milk Cheese

A light, fresh and creamy handmade goats cheese with a slight lemony taste and a delicate rind. Dart Mountain cheese makers source their goats milk from Kilgort goat farm, neighbours of theirs in the Sperrins. The goats graze on Meeny Hill in the townland of Carraig Ban. Suitable for vegetarians.
