Barbara Allen is an accomplished Irish artist best known for her watercolour renderings of shopfronts and quirky architecture, however a chance visit to Portmore Pier in Donegal, Ireland inspired her to branch out into other subject matters. Lobster, mackerel, gurnard, langoustine and John Dory. Not prepared to stop at fish she is keen on boats and birds, all rendered with consumate ease and delicious texture.
